Terms & Conditions

The basis on which this website is provided and on which we issue quotations and carry out roofing work.

1. About us

This website is operated by Daylesford Roofing (Troy Burton), a roofing contractor based in Chipping Norton, Oxfordshire, United Kingdom. Contact: 07481 237596 · dalsfordroofing@hotmail.com.

2. Using this website

The content of this website is provided for general information about our roofing services. It does not constitute technical advice for a specific property. Descriptions of work, timescales and methods are indicative; the roof itself is always assessed on site before we quote.

3. Enquiries and quotations

Submitting an enquiry does not create a contract. Following an inspection we issue a fixed written quote setting out the work included. A contract is formed only when you accept that quote. Work not described in the quote — including defects that can only be found once a covering is stripped — will be raised with you and priced separately before it is carried out.

4. Access and site conditions

You agree to provide reasonable access to the property and to the roof, including for any scaffold or access equipment required. Weather, access restrictions and, where applicable, listed-building or conservation requirements may affect programme dates.

5. Insurance and workmanship guarantee

All work is carried out fully insured and to the highest standards, and is backed by our quality workmanship guarantee. Guarantee cover applies to the work we carried out; it does not cover pre-existing defects elsewhere on the building, storm or accidental damage after completion, or alterations made by others. Specific guarantee terms and duration are confirmed in writing with your quote.

6. Emergency call-outs

Emergency and storm-damage call-outs are available 24/7, with a typical response within 45 minutes. Emergency attendance is normally a make-safe visit to stop water ingress and remove hazards; permanent repairs are quoted separately.

7. Payment

Payment terms, including any staged payments on larger works, are set out in your written quote. We price on a fixed-quote basis rather than a day rate.

8. Cancellation

Where you contract with us as a consumer away from our business premises, you have the statutory right to cancel within 14 days of accepting the quote. If you ask us to begin work within that period you may be charged for work already carried out. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights.

9. Liability

We do not exclude or limit liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence. Otherwise our liability is limited to the work we have contracted to carry out.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
